The term Ayurveda comes from the Sanskrit words ayur (life) and veda (knowledge).

Treatment focuses on identifying a persons ideal state, determining their imbalance and offering interventions to reestablish health and vitality.

According to Ayurvedic principles, we are all born with a unique combination of mind and body traits called doshas which determine our lifelong constitution.  This is our true nature, also known as our Prakriti, and begins at the moment of conception. This is our base point, the place that we want to get back to when things begin to feel out of balance.

Your consultation will combine ayurvedic principles and Naturopathic practices.  We will focus on your personal health concerns and current state of imbalance.  Recommendations made during your visit will focus on alleviating stressors, helping you to get in tune with your body thus directing you back on the road to optimal personal health.  This can include diet, physical movement and meditation.  It can also include a purification therapy known as Panchakarma that is recommended for the removal of deep-seated toxins or the use of herbal preparations, which restore balance by enlivening the body's own healing intelligence.

Follow-up visits are designed to help you continue implementation of your unique plan by becoming self-sufficient and in control of your health and well-being.
